Stand up for your beliefs, reflect and don’t be afraid to seek answers within

Here is the card of the day spread for Thursday, November 17. 

The first card is Thunder Drum. This is the time to be assertive in your beliefs. Stand up for what you stand for. Take risks and step forward. Now is not the time to step back or step aside. You are comfortable in your own skin. Share that with the world!

The second card is Medicine Bag. That is kind of contradictory to the first card since it is about a quiet gathering of your personal power and allowing it to really grow within you during a time of reflection. Medicine bags are traditionally filled with talismans that unlock the wearer’s personal power. 

The third card is Ancestors. Know that divine help and guidance are available to you at all times. Wisdom is blossoming in you now. Cherish all experiences for they will deepen your wisdom, compassion and understanding. The memories of your ancestors are printed upon your soul. Sometimes the answers and the wisdom come from within. 

Transform, allow divine guidance and let go!

The first card is Spirit of Fire. 

This card is about transformation, taking risks and facing fears, which is interesting because taking risks and facing fears came up yesterday too! You don’t always have to do things the same way because that’s how you have always done them. Your past does not equal your future! Try something new and change your routines and habits to inspire change. Fire is able to maintain life and destroy it. It represents the life force within you which is burning brightly and is ready for a change!

The second card is Great Mystery. Have you been having doubts about being divinely guided? Have you been questioning why things might not be going the way you want them to go? Believe and let your faith do the rest. Have faith that the way forward will be illuminated for you. Patience is crucial in this process. Some changes happen quickly, but others require a bit of time. You’ve planted and cared for the seeds. Trust they will grow. 

The third card is Tribal Spirit Dancer.  Let go. Say yes to life and let your spirit fly. Laugh, be brave and go beyond predictable behaviour. Sometimes life gets messy. Have fun and enjoy rather than staying inside and washing your dinner dishes. They can wait. Life can’t. Explore, expand and step into your extraordinary self. Wave those Kermit arms and enjoy life on your own terms! Leave behind the mental and spiritual clutter and let go of situations you have outgrown. Dance around your living room. This is your time to live!!

Follow your brilliant ideas to a blessed career transition

Here is my three card spread for September 16. 

The first card is Brilliant Idea!

Archangel Uriel says: Yes, your idea is Divinely guided… Please take action to bring your idea to fruition. 

This idea you have is an answer to a prayer to get out of a rut or to change things up. Taking the action can lead you out of your comfort zone, but remember that you have all the divine support you need to make your ideas happen. 

The second card is Remember Who You Are. 

Archangel Michael says: You are a powerful, loving and creative child of God. You are very loved. 

Tying this card to the previous, are you worried that you can’t achieve your dreams because you are somehow unworthy or that things like that don’t happen to people like you? Shake it up and remember who you are. You are divine and were not put on this planet to suffer. Don’t be afraid of your power, magnificence or wisdom. When you succeed and change your life, you inspire others. You are amazing. 

The third card is Career Transition. 

Archangel Chamuel says: Your life purpose is triggering a blessed career change. 

Man. This card has been coming up a lot lately. I guess a lot of people are praying for help with their careers. The old is clearing away to make room for the new.  Pay attention to repeated ideas, dreams or feelings. They will lead you in the right direction!

You deserve happiness. Go toward your passions and everything will work out for the best. 

Seek the Divine in all things

The card of the day is Divine Discontent. 

  This card is about looking for the divine in all things. 

This is about opening our eyes and awakening to the divine rather than focusing on the small gods we seem to like to worship: our jobs, the way we look, our status or not being able to live our lives in a particular way. When we are focused on these things we lose the divine. 

Be honest with yourself today about where your energy is focused. The divine is drawing us closer and telling us to get outside and take in the sunshine, smell the flowers and see what miracles surround us. There is more to truth than what is flashed at us on screens. Go outside and witness a sunset, rather than the one you use as your computer’s wallpaper. Stand in the forest and take a deep breath and smell the foliage. Feel nature and miracles around you. That is truth. 

Your soul is yearning to be embraced by the divine, which ironically, is all around you. 

Sometimes the thing you’re most afraid of doing is the thing that sets you free

 

I saw this on Facebook the other day and the second I saw it, I thought, “yep! this is going on my blog, because it accurately describes the last few months.”

As a young woman, I always remember being glued to shows like Long Island Medium (not Theresa Caputo herself, but other mediums who had TV shows when I was younger). You also couldn’t pry me away from the TV when Sylvia Browne or John Edwards were doing their thing. I couldn’t believe that there were people who could channel spirit!

I used to think to myself, “man. If only I had that ability! I could help so many people!”

In the past few months, I’ve really taken the leap. I’ve come out of the “psychic closet” after four years of mentoring with a really great teacher. I took the steps and I’ve arrived where I am now, doing things that were unimaginable to me just four years ago, and I’m still walking. Step after step along this path in excited anticipation of each step that follows.

I started this blog in June of 2014 and I remember how scary just taking that one small step was at that time in my life and it has become such a valuable outlet for me. Such a place of freedom and catharsis, filled with people who are like minded and read these ramblings of mine (thank you!).

After the blog came a Facebook group (search My Metaphysical Musings), and a Twitter account (@Talking2Spirits), the ordering of business cards and the opening of my home to people who trust me to receive and deliver their messages from Spirit. I’m honored, privileged and fulfilled by this work. I can say I’m doing something I love, and it all came from taking that one scary step, waaaaay back in the beginning of deciding to look for a teacher who resonated with me and would guide and support me on my way.

I have people coming to me for readings, which is amazing, and I am getting quite a few clients through word of mouth, which is fantastic. Some clients have asked if I’d consider reading at parties and I do have a party coming up at the end of the month through my fabulous friend and mentor. There are so many up and coming awesome opportunities flying at me as fast as I can open my arms to accept them.

I continue to use my intentions and affirmations to empower and inspire myself and others. I’ve found people who (gasp!) don’t think I’m crazy when I talk about hearing voices and having messages for them, and I’m loving every minute of my spiritual growth.

It doesn’t matter what “it” is for you. It could be walking on stilts, it could be writing a book, conquering your fear of heights, buying a home or, it could be just finally speaking your truth for all to hear. That one step that is unfathomable and scary now, could be the one catalyst to send you flying in the direction of your dreams and all you’ve ever wanted. As you continue to do things which bring you in line with your purpose and the more fulfilled and happy you feel, the more of these things will come to you and manifest in your life, and that my friends, is truly awesome.

If you can muster the courage to take that first step, the other foot will follow and the next steps will be illuminated by the love of the universe and the light of your passion!
